Alessandro Polpetta

Alessandro Polpetta was born in 1982 in Roma. He graduated in Telecommunications and Information Engineering in Perugia, Italy, in 2004 (magna cum laude) with a thesis on “Local Maximum Likelihood technique for multicarrier systems”. Successively, he received the master degree in information and telecommunications engineering in 2006 (magna cum laude) from the same university with a thesis on “Beamforming techniques in development systems for medical applications”.

Now he is a PhD Student within the research group coordinated by Prof. Paolo Banelli (http://dante.diei.unipg.it/~banelli) at the Information and Electronic Engineering Department (DIEI) of the University of Perugia (Italy), and he is working on "Signal Processing Algorithms for Medical Systems: Design and Implementation".

His research interests are in the area of signal processing for Biomedical Engineering with a focus on diagnostic medical devices and their implementation.
