Abstract | In this paper we compare two different MCM-DS-SS physical layer configurations for WLANs, by evaluating their performance in terms of bit error rate and frame error rate using measured channel delay profiles. Throughout a comparison of the obtained performance with the results of the DS-SS physical layer of the IEEE 802.11 standard, we point out some important architectural aspects and the potential limiting factors of the performance. |
